Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya have responded to Telangana Minister K. Surekha’s comments regarding their divorce. Surekha, a Congress leader, suggested a connection between their separation and BRS chief K.T. Rama Rao, claiming he had tapped the phones of actresses and blackmailed them.
In an Instagram story posted on October 2, 2024, Samantha emphasized that her divorce was a “personal matter.” She clarified that it was “mutual consent and amicable” and urged people to stop speculating about the reasons behind it.

Samantha’s statement read, “Being a woman in this industry requires immense courage and strength. I ask that you refrain from speculating about my divorce. Our choice to maintain privacy should not lead to misrepresentation. It was a mutual and amicable decision, with no political conspiracy involved. Please keep my name out of political disputes; I prefer to remain non-political.”
These remarks followed Surekha’s allegations that KTR was somehow responsible for the divorce, claiming he had used underhanded tactics against actresses. She stated, “It is K.T. Rama Rao because of whom Samantha’s divorce happened… He was a minister at that time, tapping phones and blackmailing them.”
