Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, has been vocal about his support for Sanatana Dharma, which has drawn reactions from various quarters. His recent comments regarding Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, in which he criticized Stalin’s pledge to eradicate Sanatana Dharma, have led to a police complaint against him.
Advocate Vanchinathan from Madurai has filed the complaint at the Madurai City Commissioner’s office. He expressed concern that Pawan’s statements could incite communal riots, claiming that the Deputy CM’s remarks were inflammatory towards minorities and could provoke social discord among different religious groups.
The advocate stated that Tamil Nadu’s minority communities have taken offense at Pawan’s criticism of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s stance on Sanatana Dharma, viewing it as a potential threat to communal harmony.
